ALL RISE!
Over the past year, the Missoula Jewish community has grown in so many ways. We’ve welcomed new faces, shared laughs, learned together, and celebrated and prayed together. What began all those years ago as a few Shabbat dinners and intimate events has blossomed into a vibrant and deeply connected community.
Now, as Rosh Hashanah approaches, we are launching “All Rise!”—our 2025 High Holiday Campaign.
If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s that Jewish life doesn’t just happen; it’s built. And building a community takes heart, hustle, and a whole lot of help. This High Holiday season, we are asking you to rise with us.
Our Sages teach us, “One should rise like a lion in the morning….”
Some people think this means that you get to growl before your morning coffee…
But it means to become wide awake. Full of energy… and be Jewish, feel Jewish, do Jewish as we rise to greet the day..
But being Jewish here in Missoula can be a lonely experience. Sometimes society pushes different narratives. Our neighbors and friends don’t always understand. And there certainly isn’t a kosher deli down the block we can escape to!
What gives us the strength to live Jewish openly and joyfully in Missoula?
You do.
When you step up to give Missoula Jews connection, Jewish family, and a Jewish home, you empower others to rise up—like lions!
Your High Holidays gift this year will provide:
A welcoming synagogue where people can gather, pray, and hear the shofar.
The sweetness of apples n’ honey, brisket and challah shared together at holiday meals.
Inspiring classes, Hebrew School, Women’s Circle gatherings, lively celebrations, and holiday traditions that have sustained us for generations.
These are the experiences that tell people they are not alone—that they belong, that they are cherished, and that their Jewish pride matters.
This year, we will also create a Caring Wall, displaying the names of all who give (including anonymous supporters), reminding our community that we are stronger when we stand together. This wall will be proudly displayed in the center all month long.
Your gift of $18, $100, $500—or even $1,000 if you’ve been especially blessed—will make this possible. Every amount matters, and every gift will help ensure that Jewish life in Missoula continues to rise and thrive.
May this New Year bring delight, spiritual growth, and deep connection to you and your loved ones.
With profound appreciation,
Rabbi Chezky vogel
P.S. Because you understand the importance of Jewish community, I’m asking you to support our High Holiday activities this year—for yourself and for all who come seeking connection and wisdom. Thank you, and may your New Year be sweet!
Thank you to our lions who have risen to the occasion!
